Weekday Dinner Recipes.

Phew, What a busy Monday! I hope everyone had an awesome weekend. I am especially jealous of all you who have a public holiday for memorial day today. Although i may have had to come into work today, i feel like it was one of the most productive days i have had in a while! I have started making a list of recipes that Zebb and i will try throughout the working week that are easy (we are hella time-poor), cheap (we've had to tighten our belt a bit) and most of all delicious (i have one fussy boyfriend!). We almost always end up eating some form of takeaway at the end of the week, and sometimes even during the week, so a meal plan will help us to stick to cooking on weeknights and save us money. I have taken all of the recipes from Taste.com.au which is an australian website (which anyone can use, although some measurements and particular products may be different) that has over 22,000 different meals.

I also promised you guys that i would share the recipe of the pumpkin soup with a twist dish that i took a photo of for My Week in an Iphone post below. I will get to that at the end of this post! Now here are the recipes that i have in store for us this week.



Monday:
We love us some chicken in our household, so tonight i will be making Chicken, Corn and Noodle Soup.



Tuesday:
More chicken! This BLT Chicken Salad looks tasty.

















Wednesday:
Tonight i have gym sessions with my personal trainer, so i think dinner will be a bit of a snatch and grab. Spaghetti Bolognaise will do just fine!

Thursday:
Im a bit sneaky with this recipe, i like to use the packet ravioli. Ravioli with Creamy Swiss Mushroom and Thyme Sauce

Friday:
With the week winding down, the urge to buy takeaway is approaching fast, so we go with a dish that we make on a regular basis. Chicken Burritos!

Lets hope Zebb and i stick to this food plan and make it a habit every week. I will let you all know of my favourite recipes and how they turned out next week!

My Week from an Iphone V.1

More bandwagon jumping! Yay! I've been reading these posts from Harper's Happenings and with the amount of Iphone pictures i take during the week i would be able to fill your pages with crap quality photos for a while! So here is my first week...

Monday - The day was freezing, so as soon as i got home from work Zebb and I set to making pumpkin soup from scratch! It was probably the best i've ever eaten. Recipe soon!

Tuesday - A long ass day at work calls for a break and some Bloglovin'.

Wednesday - I forgot to whip out my phone while the game was actually on! But Wednesday was the first game of State of Origin, so a handful of friends came over to have a few drinks and yell at the TV. Like always QLD won. Woo!

Thursday - Another chilly morning calls for the first wearing of a beret for the season.

Friday - A nappy cake present i ordered was delivered today for a good friend whom is having her baby shower on the 04/06. Her nursery is jungle themed and this fits in perfectly with that!

Saturday - There is nothing like a morning cup of chai and some fresh ginger kisses!

Twenty-Five things to do before i turn Twenty-Five!

This morning i read a post by Joy the Baker about her celebrating her thirtieth birthday, and she mentioned a list of things she wanted to do before she reached the big three - oh. I have read about quite a number of bloggers doing these sorts of things and have always wanted to jump on the bandwagon! I've decided to make a list of twenty-five things to do instead of thirty (turning thirty is quuuiiite out of my reach) and i now have a little under four years to complete them. A few of the list items are a tad broad and/or easy so once i complete the whole list i may just write a new one up. Who knows, i could complete 150 things in four years! Anyway, enough rambling, time to get on with the dotted point goodness...

25 Before 25!

• Bake One giant birthday cake for someone i love.
• Send flowers to Two friends.
• Make Three new friends.
• Mail Four hand written letters.
• Compliment Five strangers.
• Send Six postcards (to blog readers maybe?).
• Try Seven new restaurants.
• Leave Eight lucky coins on the ground.
• Read and Review Nine books on my blog.
• Donate Ten dollars to a charity of my choice.
• Go on Eleven road trips and blog about them all.
• Give away Twelve fresh cupcakes.
• Enjoy Thirteen sunrises.
• Enjoy Fourteen sunsets!
• Leave Fifteen nice comments on fifteen blogs.
• Take Sixteen gym classes.
• Do Seventeen things i wouldnt normally do, and blog about them.
• Plant Eighteen trees/plants/herbs and maintain them.
• Try Nineteen new foods.
• Take Twenty photos of twenty things i love.
• Babysit or enjoy the presence of friends and their bubs Twenty-One times.
• Pass up Twenty-Two opportunities to buy something unnecessary and save that money.
• Do/buy Twenty-Three things that will make me feel good about myself (when needed).
• Tell my family i love them at least Twenty-Four times.
• Buy a bottle of wine over Twenty-Five dollars and savour every last drop!

Some of them you may be thinking are ridiculous (like number twenty-four... duh i love my family) but they all seem relevent to me at this point in my life, and they all will give me a feeling of accomplishment once ticked off. I would love for someone to join me or even link up to something like this, the more the merrier! Now onto ticking off those list items!

It's no lie that I love a good parenting blog. Some may find that weird, because the only thing I'm parenting right now is a fur baby, but I've always been drawn to children and reading these blogs makes me happy. Etsy Love.

Hand's up who loves pottery?

Noone? Just me? okay. Thats how it usually is when i proclaim my love for dishes and cake stands and the like. This weekend i came across an etsy seller worthy of royalty. Jeanette Zeis Ceramics is a shop from Atlanta Georgia that has me drooling over the beauty that is her crisp white cupcake stands and pastel fruit bowls.

She has been an Etsy seller since 2007 but has had her hands on pottery for fifteen years. About this time last year she was a featured seller and i have loved her items ever since. She even has a vegan line of pottery now! I will be buying a Ribbon Cake Stand shortly and will post a photo of it's marvolousness when it arrives.

I well and truly honest to god one hundred percent want to keep this blog going! Because i am not a very interesting person i have set some goals for myself to blog every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday or Sunday if i have an eventful weekend. Look forward to it bitches.

Handmade.

I missed out. Yet AGAIN.

The Handmade Expo was on this weekend in my town. I had no idea it was on until i called my mum (funnily enough to ask what time she was going to meet jesus with all of this rapture hotchpotch going on) and she was already there picking up goodies. Rheyanan was mega sads.

The next Handmade Expo is on in a month, and i will definately be making an appearance.

Growth and Wishes.

For as long as i can remember i have wished for something. Whether it be small and trivial like a new bike or those beautiful shoes that i cannot get out of my head, or life-changing like the hope that i will have my family and boyfriend for as long as possible. It seems like my yearning for things is never ending.

There are times when i one hundred percent know that i am trying to fill a void in my life, and times when i feel so content it is almost unbelievable. My outlook on life changes daily and so does my personality. I did not think growing up would be so full of change.

Looking at who i was a measley five years ago, it is insane to think of everything that has happened since then and how much i have grown. When this was me, i wished for the perfect relationship, an amazing job and children after i turn 30.

But by the time this was me, i had changed absolutly everything about myself.

2009

I had the boyfriend of my dreams, but not the perfect relationship, i had a kick ass job, but not in the field that i had always wanted to be in. And i wanted more then anything to have kids before i was 21. So my wishes changed.

I dont think i will ever be able to describe myself to someone. And if i did, i would be lying. Because the next day it would be something different.

Update.

The beginning of the year... that was the last time i posted. How slaaccck. I have no excuses for this which is quite sad as its been 3 months, but i just havnt felt the need to write. I can feel myself getting back into the swing of things though, and hope to write something post-worthy soon. For now, an update... with dot points!

• I still am a receptionist for the same company, although they are getting on my last nerve. 
• I've eased up on the whole 'babies' thing. I've had time to think and know that i don't even wanna go down that path for another few years.
• Zebb and i are going to celebrate our four year anniversary soon.
• James and Amy have moved out and are expecting little Lucas next week!
